It’s Been A While

It’s a few months shy of two years since I last posted anything on this blog and there’s a very good reason for that. My emetophobia has been somewhat under control. It didn’t go away but for the most part the past few years I haven’t let it control my life.

With just a few incidences of panicky situations, I’ve been feeling pretty good since my last post.

I recently started seeing a therapist but not for emetophobia. At least not directly. If you read through my old posts you’ll see that my case of emetophobia was triggered by stress. Even though the emetophobia calmed down (it never completely went away), I still had stress in my life. I’m now working on dealing with stress and depression.

For those of you who are contemplating therapy for emetophobia, I highly recommend it. There are some very good and some not so good therapists out there so if the first therapist you see is not good, don’t give up. Keep looking until you find one that helps you.
